World Chemical Sales – The Changed Dynamics

by | Mar 21, 2020

In 2008, the world chemical sale was €2000 bn. It increased to €3347 bn by 2018..!

In 2008, the EU had a share of 26.5 in the world chemical sale and China’s share was 18.2%

Ten years later, i.e. by 2018, China’s share increased to 35.8% and that of EU declined to 16.9%

Oh…what a growth and what a fall…!

You may wonder what’s the share of India then and now?

Well it barely moved up from 2.3% to 2.7%

No wonder, our economy is registering a sluggish growth.

You see, the chemical sector fuels the economic growth.

It should be in the forefront..!

The sooner our policy makers realize this simple growth mantra, the better for our entire economy..!
